Possibility of introductory or warm-up sessions for cross-country skiers, around Flumet’s lake.
A properly maintained 2.5 km loop is available to the general public, below the village, along the Arrondine stream.
Come and try cross-country skiing ! A 8 km loop is open to the public, free of charge, at Le Mont-Rond, for discovery or endurance. Varied trail between forest, panoramic views and mountain farms.
Cohennoz / Crest-Voland / Les Saisies
In a natural and preserved area, the nordic ski space gained its reputation when it hosted the cross country skiing and biathlon trials of the 16th Winter Olympic Games of Albertville in 1992.
A 1.5 km introductory trail (free of charge) at the top of Mont Lachat. Can be reached from Crest-Voland via La Logère chairlift or via Le Cernix lift; also possible to follow the road from Les Saisies for 4.5 km. Parking at La Croix des Ayes.
Cross-country ski enthusiasts are well catered for by the Olympic Nordic Ski Area at Crest-Voland / Cohennoz – Les Saisies.
There are a range of different sites where Nordic skiing can be done, all tailored for different levels of ability.
A choice : marked, maintained trails or pristine plateaux, valleys and crests for seasoned skiers.
Just as for downhill skiing, it’s possible to book lessons with an instructor.
