For walkers who like to learn something about the countryside they’re rambling through, our themed trails are real sources of wonder: history, water, forests, peat bogs… The routes vary in length which means that walkers can choose the best one for them.
Young or old alike, anyone with an inquisitive mind is more than welcome!
Hiking in the footsteps of the Ceutrons with Mont-Blanc in the background. A footpath which follows the peaks, starting in the hamlet of Le Plan, linking three places (Col de l'Avenaz, Petit Croisse-Baulet and Col du Jaillet), where you will find three boundary markers dating from Roman times.
In the heart of the forest, this path is accessible to everyone and full of revelations: learn what ants get up to during the winter and what farmers do during the summer. Find answers to these questions and many others on the 15 or so panels along the path.
The footpath will take you through different types of mountain wetland along the Nant Rouge river. In the winter, enjoy the setting for snow-shoe outings or dog sledding.
This walk will take you through the trees and alongside ponds, where you will spot the wildlife which lives in this unique ecosystem of the mountain stream. A lovely walk that is both stress-free and educational. It is possible to do this walk by yourself or with a guide.
Signposted trail which is accessible by ski from La Belette green piste, by foot or by snowshoe from the bottom of the slopes at Les Evettes.
