Located on the Route des Grandes Alpes, Val d’Arly Mont Blanc is above all a major alpine cross-roads sandwiched between Savoie and Haute Savoie and also between several famous mountain passes such as the Col des Aravis or the Col des Saisies.
Lots of cyclists take to our winding roads to conquer the Col des Aravis, the Cornet de Roselend…
Col de la Colombière, Cormet de Roselend, Lac d’Annecy, Beaufortain, Aravis… Lots of amazing landscapes to discover or rediscover.
1249 Points – Another demanding climb that features in the top 20 Challenges. After the resort of Crest-Voland, the route tackles the steep switchbacks below the Col des Saisies. The magnificent panorama from the summit takes in the whole of the northern Alps and Mont Blanc.
The climb to the Col des Aravis is strenuous but pleasant and the view of the Mont Blanc Massif from the pass is magnificent. To do a circuit, go over the Col de la Croix-Fry and the Col des Marais to Saint-Ferréol, and then follow the greenway to Ugine.
890 Points – After an initial section high above the Arly Gorge, the road through the resort of Crest Voland provides great views of the Aravis Mountains. The resort of Les Saisies hosted the cross-country skiing events at the 1992 Olympics.
A lovely little road overlooking the gorge takes you into the heart of the Val d'Arly and to the charming village-resorts of Crest-Voland and Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe.
