Our mountain heritage is still omnipresent in the valley’s village-resorts.
Wander along the Baroque way, linger in the village craft and history museums and stroll around our chapels and you will see a side to the valley that you perhaps never imagined... Each village has its surprises.
Here you will find a mass of historical information about the places to visit. So, have an enjoyable journey along the heritage routes of Val d'Arly, where your curiosity and interest will be rewarded by vistas of stunning beauty. 
Places to visit during your walks or guided tours.
- The church of St Nicolas la Chapelle, with its richly decorated altars and retables and its open-work bulbous bell-tower.
- The church of La Giettaz en Aravis , with its retable and lateral altars
- The much older church of Flumet, with its Baroque retable and neo-classical murals
- As well as the many chapels that dot the valley

Guided visits to the Mediaeval village of Flumet in summer and in winter
Guided visits (with FACIM guides) to the Mediaeval village of Flumet, founded in 1150 by Prince Aymon II of Faucigny. Visit Saint Theodulus’s church, with its 12th century bell tower, built as part of the village’s fortifications, the fortified house of the Counts of Bieux, the Miller’s House, the winding streets of the old village, and the Pont de l'Abyme, which spans the Arly, 60 metres above the turbulent river, opposite a row of corbelled houses (illuminated at night).
- 1hr 30min torchlight descents, in winter
- On Tuesday evenings, during school holidays, at 6pm
