The Dairy Cooperative is born in 1969, belonging to 80 small local producers in Val d'Arly Mont-Blanc. Reblochon, Beaufort, Tomme and Raclette de Savoie are made here, as yogurt and butter. Visit our museum space dedicated to mountain agriculture and our know-how cheese, open all year 7 days / 7 from 8:30 to 19:30.
At your disposal: a tactile table presenting you our territory of collection of milk and information of the Cooperative Products of the cooperative, but also of local producers, there is something for everyone! All products are rigorously selected: traditional manufacturing methods, traceability and proximity of manufacturing workshops - processing (most is less than 30km from each store). Indeed, in addition to our products, you will find in our stores cheeses and farm dairy products and (high) Savoyard cooperatives, selected cured meats from a master craftsman, wines of Savoy and liqueurs (to be consumed in moderation) , fruit juices, jams, but also a delicatessen (mushrooms, polenta, crozets, chocolates, shortbread ...) A whole digital museum where you will discover the 3 main axes of the visit with different levels of reading: - The territory: the quality of our mountain pastures, herds, farmers - The Cooperative: its operation, its quality approach, its traditional manufacturing method - Reblochon: its manufacture, its origin, its character. - Our Savoy cheeses All combining new technologies, fun and interactive approaches. The Val d'Arly Cheese Cooperative has been a human adventure for almost 50 years. It gathers close to 82 producers who are committed to furthering local productions and participating to the development of the territory. In a world of globalization, our cooperative is atypical and has always followed the same main line since its creation: aiming for excellence through the quality of the products and making people central for decisions. The cooperative was built upon theses values we want to keep on applying. Our ancestors knew before time that they had to differentiate themselves from mass production. Our mountain regions could not have survived. Even though our mountains are high, imposing and majestic, it is hard to work on them. They had to try to make quality products rather than quantity.
We meet every week on a farm or an alp around the Cooperative - in the company of our producers and our animator. You will thus understand the role of our Cooperative and our farming professions. Meet the farmers, share with them a moment of exchange during milking time on the farm or in the mountain pastures depending on the season. Taste our cheeses made in our joint workshop of the Cooperative, a friendly moment in the museum dedicated to mountain agriculture!
