* Route details :
Departure from La Giettaz – Flumet – Megève – Amerands – Col de Joux Plaine – Passy – Côte de Domancy – Megève – Flumet- La Giettaz : 86km/1920m+
* Difficult sections:
The only difficult section will be the Plaine Joux pass.
The climb begins in Passy Chef-Lieu (560 m) and reaches Plaine Joux (1,360 m) after 14 km of effort, with an elevation gain of around 800 m and an average gradient of 5.7%.
The first 5 kilometres wind through the hamlets of Bay and Passy on a narrow but fast road, with regular gradients of around 6 to 7%. From the hamlet of Servoz, the slope becomes steeper, varying between 8 and 9% over several hundred metres.
The central section, through the forest, is the most demanding: tight bends, hairpin turns and sustained sections where the gradient occasionally exceeds 10%. The road surface is sometimes rough, which adds to the difficulty.
The last few kilometres offer a gradual respite and open up onto mountain pastures before reaching the Plaine Joux viewpoint at 1,360 metres, where the view of the Mont Blanc massif is breathtaking.
