After studying organ with Nicole Pillet and Gaston Litaize at the Conservatoire National de Région de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, Marie-Ange Leurent completed her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) in Paris, where she won numerous awards, including a first prize for organ in the class of Michel Chapuis. Appointed titular organist of the great organ of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette in Paris, she teaches at the Leo Delibes Conservatory in Clichy, and has taught music composition at the University of Paris-IV Sorbonne and music training at the CNSM in Paris. A pupil of Gaston Litaize, Éric Lebrun studied at the CNSM de Paris. Among his highest honors, he won a first prize for organ in the class of Michel Chapuis. He studied with Anne-Marie Barat, Daniel Roth, and musicologists Jean Maillard, Brigitte François-Sappey and Jean Saint-Arroman, with whom he participated in the reconstruction of the music of complete 17th-century offices. Winner of the international Grand Prix de Chartres competition in 1990, the same year he was appointed titular organist of the Cavaillé-Coll grand organ at the church of Saint Antoine des Quinze-Vingts in Paris, where he recorded the complete works of Jehan Alain, Maurice Duruflé and César Franck (Naxos). He is the creator of numerous contemporary scores, sometimes written for him (V.Aubertin, J.Castérède, Thierry Escaich, Kamilio Lendvay, Gaston Litaize...) and as a composer, he is the author of some twenty works. Marie-Ange Leurent and Éric Lebrun form a renowned duo. They have made numerous recordings and are currently working on a 20-CD set of Bach's complete works on European instruments.
