Overlooking the hamlet of "Chaucisse", discover stunning views of Mont Blanc.
TO KNOW :
Long dependent on the Church of St Nicolas, the inhabitants of this hamlet had to wait until the beginning of the 19th century before having their own place of worship, first a chapel, then a Church. And it is to one of these many Savoyard emigrants that they owe it: Joachim Dumax Baudron, born in Chaucisse in 1750 and who, having become the cook of a Marshal of Napoleon, offered his native parish the means to build a school and a chapel. Built in 1818 with the help of the inhabitants, it was raised to the rank of Church in 1828.
