Description
A moving wildlife documentary that takes you off the beaten track to the
heart of the work of a mountain wildlife filmmaker.
This film chronicles a unique journey spanning over 2,000 days in search of the wild.
For 18 years, the Lapieds have been tracking mountain animals in the Gran
Paradiso massif. Far from the beaten track, we set off with Véronique, Anne and Erik on their
patient pursuits, their attempts to understand the tracks and habits of the masters of
the land. They take us into their hides, through their failures, but also to the pure moment of
grace that is a long-awaited encounter.
Between exceptional wildlife scenes, poetry and reflection on the relationship
between man and nature, this true story will bring you up close to the craft of the
mountain wildlife filmmaker.
Open-air screening of the film *Lapied* at the summit of Mont Lachat, near the lake. Please bring chairs, deckchairs and blankets, and don’t forget to wrap up warm… evenings get chilly at altitude! Film duration: 1 hour 10 minutes. Release date: July 2025. In the event of bad weather, the event will be moved to the community hall.
