Description
The Val d’Arly Pop-up Choir, comprising around forty singers from all over France and the two Savoie departments. It is conducted by Frédéric Pineau.
A passionate choir director and teacher, Frédéric Pineau enjoys exploring the choral repertoire in all its richness, whilst striving to introduce it to and encourage its performance by a wide range of audiences. He has been the musical and artistic director of the Rouen Chamber Choir since 2012, and in 2024 he founded the Rouen Youth Choir, which is affiliated with the Chamber Choir. He has also been conducting the Chœur d’Oratorio de Paris since 2019 and the Chœur du COSU (Chœur & Orchestre Sorbonne
Université) since 2020. In addition, he conducts the Yellow Socks Choir, a flexible ensemble specialising in film music and film concerts.
The Val d’Arly Pop-up Choir is accompanied on piano by Lucie Seillet, a pianist and accompanist who graduated from the CNSM, and on percussion by Anne Isambert, a choir director in Tours and percussionist, and Guillaume Saint-Pierre, who holds a DEM in Percussion from the Conservatoire d’Issy-les-Moulineaux and a Master’s degree in Musicology from the University of Paris VIII; both are holders of the University Diploma for Music Educators (D.U.M.I.).
