Come and join us in the early hours of the morning to watch the herds being milked, share a special moment with the farmers, and then enjoy breakfast with a breathtaking view of the mountain peaks!
PROGRAMME FOR TUESDAY 7 JULY:
- Meet at 6.00 am near Magda and Fabrice’s mountain pasture at Mont Lachat (La Belle Metairie restaurant)
- Watch the milking, with commentary from the farmers, and find out how the mountain pasture operates and where the milk used to make Beaufort comes from!
- Enjoy breakfast to round off this convivial experience
- Continue your experience by visiting the co-operative to see how the milk that has been collected is turned into cheese.
